Q&A: Healing Internet, Phone & TV Addiction


How can I heal addiction to the internet?

Just imagine the internet in front of you, draw the distant healing symbol and ask reiki to connect you with the internet, and then draw the emotional healing symbol and ask Reiki to heal the emotional void which you are trying to fill with the internet, and then draw the power symbol to balance the energies, and finally the  clockwise power symbol to seal and stabilize the new level of energies. You can draw each symbol only once or repeatedly till you ‘feel it’, as in till you feel that the connection has been established, etc. Do this daily first thing in the morning for a week.

Crime show addiction is an indication of addiction to adrenaline rush Radha.. your system is craving toxins. Ask Reiki to bring up related emotional issues for resolution.

I sincerely believe that anyone addicted to these (Indian) crime shows and anger related shows like Big Boss and Roadies etc needs psychiatric help because they are not mentally stable – these shows are making mental instability the norm – and really I don’t say this sarcastically or in jest, I meant it. Anyone on this group – if you enjoy these shows, there is something seriously wrong with you, please heal yourself in this direction.

I would like to confess that when I met you for the first time, I was a regular Bigg Boss watcher. Hadn’t missed a single season , a single episode. Can say I was simply addicted. But after Reiki 1, I didn’t have to force myself but automatically I lost all interest in watching it. Today I find it a total crap. But this internet addiction is taking a toll on my overall life

I am so so SO glad to hear that! To begin with, stop judging your addiction to the internet, I see that as a big hindrance in your healing at the moment. Look at yourself (in your mind) sitting in front of the laptop/ phone being addicted to the internet and instead of acting like a mad parent trying to yank a child away from something bad, love yourself like you would coax a lover away from something and turn the attention to yourself. Only in this case, you are the lover, and you are the beloved – and that is the beauty – when you do this, you take the energy back from the internet and bring it back to yourself. But you need to do this with love.

(Someone else) I have a bad habit of checking mobile phone in the middle of the work. I get distracted again n again . what to do Ashwita ? Any suggestions?

Just stop it, that’s all. To imagine that you are incapable of doing it is deluding yourself and making excuses. When you sit to work, put your phone on silent and simply refuse to check your phone till you are done. You can give little rewards to yourself (preferably not food) for every time you finish complete work  without checking phone.
